Humorous Senior Christmas Card

The Challenge today on Charizma Cards is a sketch and as I've been making Christmas cards recetly, this seems to be the logical thing to do.

This hilarious image is from one of our ever popular stamp sheets that can be bought by clicking on the image of the sheet below.
Merry Christmas to you all.

Snowman card from our new stamps

We have a set of fantastic new stamps in the online Craft Fairy store and I've made a card from just one of the little snowmen. He is just the perfect size for an A6 card and I'm sure that you'll love him too.

To make this card you will need the snowman stamp which at only £3 is a super bargain.

Some of our dotty red satin ribbon.

I also used Doodlebug paper from my stash and Kuretake pens to colour up the stamp.

I hope that I'm not the last one to enter this challenge. Better late than never though for the 'Thanks' challenge on the Pink Elephant blog.

This card is made with a stamp from the Cartes Postal sheet that I love so much.

The challenge on Allsorts this week is for a card for a child so....this card is for my grand daughter. It's a very special card this year as the one that I made for her last year was lost in the post.

The card uses my favourite colour too so for me it's just perfect.

If you want to re-creat something similar you will need:

Stamps Kids 76 from the Merry Stamper

Pink Dotty Grosgrain Ribbon

A pink bloom

A pink button

Some paper and card

Scissors, 3d foam pads. glue etc.

Have fun.

Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge #38

The theme on Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge #38 is PRETTY PACKAGING. Well, I couldn't resist as I had a great idea that was all ready to go.

I just love this little bag that I made recently using the new fennel seed stamp from Stampinback . The stamp is coloured directly with the Art and Graphic pens from Zig, Kuretake in colours 308 and 58.

The two ribbons are blue saddle stitch in 9mm and 3mm.

Dare you to, Digi Stamp Challenge 13

Dare you to, Digi Stamp Challenge 13 is the inspiration for this card. I thought that Hopeful Harry who is just in at Craft Fairy, was the perfect subject for this challenge.

I must admit that th ephotography is not the best but the light is poor today and it was the best that I could do.

The stamp is Hopeful Harry and he is just in today. Let's hope that you get him before he sells out.

Happy crafting,

Yvonne

Now for something completely different

This card is not pink or particularly pretty but it is quirky. I like quirky so this is what I've come up with for the challenge over on Charisma Cardz Challenges and the Stamp Something Challenge and Cute Card Thursday. Nothing like killing three birds as it were. There was no theme on some but this card really suited the challenge on the other two blogs.

I have just coloured this stamp up for the web site and for sale at the Art Stamps fair at Newbury nekt week so it was just waiting to be used.

Materials used:

Click the links to be taken straight to the product.

Biker Bob unmounted rubber stamp from I Brake for Stamps.

Brown saddle stitch ribbon.

Happy crafting

Daring Cardmakers Missing You Challenge

I couldn't resist this challenge but I've decided to make it a simple one and this is the card that I've come up with:

The stamp is one of the ones that I used for the Ismaki challenge but I have used it quite simply here with a mst of silver and lilac card. It's from the Cartes Postal sheet of stamps.

The ribbon is 16mm lilac satin edged chiffon.

The stamp was inked up with the Zig kuretake pens.

Happy crafting

Yvonne

The Pink Elephant Challenge

I loved this Pink Elephant challenge so much that I managed to finish it half an hour. This is a record for me as sometimes it can take me up to half a day to get things right.

To make this card you will need:

Papers and card that I had in my stash.
What to Do:

Cut a baase card 14cm x 14cm.
Layer it up with a mount of about 13.5cm x 13.5 cm
cut four squares that will end up slightly smaller than the mount square. Stick to the mount.
Colour the stamp with the selection of colours given above. You can use my example of do anything thta you want yourself. Stamp an oval shape that you've cut out. You can use a square one if you don't have an oval one.
Use 3d foam pads to stick to the card.
Stamp the word 'Nature' on to the card and embellish with a green flower.

Happy crafting,
Yvonne

New Stamps from Stampinback

We've just had some new stamps from Stampinback and I had to use them as I think that they are really lovely and the designs are right up to the minute.

I didn't just want to have them as a black silhouettes though and I went for fawn and greens.

The images are 'Fennel Silhouette' from Stampinback.

Tall Flower, silhouette also from Stampinback.

The pens that I used to colour the images are Zig Art and Graphic pens 49, 56, 57.

The ribbon is willow green chiffon in 16mm width.

The sentiment is 'approach dreams'

The flowers are from the romance selection of Eco friendly flowers.

The paper I had in my stash but any soft green should do.

To Make this card:

All you need to do is ink up the stamps with your chosen colours and stamp up the images.

Cover the bottom of the card with some green paper and cover the join with sheer green ribbon.

Ink up the sentiment and stamp out. Mount onto another piece of green paper and stick to the card.

Add a couple of smallish flowers from the pack and you have a card.

Happy crafting.

Ismaki Sketch Challenge

Well, I must say that I am doing my best to get cards made by doing as many challenges as possible. The best thing about challenges is that they make you rethink your ideas and come up with something new and, I hope, exciting.
This card is the one that I've come up with after looking at the one given over on Ismaki.

If you want to make anything like this you will need:

Blooms from our lovely new range.

The Cartes Postal sheet of rubber stamps.

The leaf stamp from out new Florals and Leaves rubber stamp sheet.

Art and graphic pens to colour the stamps. I used 56, 50, 60, 49 and 110

Here's the next one

Only two cards as yet. I really do have to speed up. I do have an excuse.....I'm disorganised. I bet that the rest of you that share this excuse are thinking, 'Thank God'.

This card is made with an Inkadinkadoo stamp called English Rose. I coloured it with the Art and Graphic pens from Kuretake which can be seen if you click here.
The ribbon is the spotted pink satin, click here.
A few buttons and a message are all that you need to complete the look.
